EXE

EXE is the file extension we see often but some of us don't know what is it really. EXE can be explained as Executable, means the file which can be executed by the user. EXE can be executed by the user using command prompt or in GUI.

Now, most software comes in executable form with exe extension. This is becoming fashion and tradition of developers of Windows Software.

The EXE files are first being used by Microsoft Corporation in Windows 1.0 with the support of (.NE).
